The Found! Featured Pet of the Day is selected at random from one of the incoming stray animals being sheltered at the Pima Animal Care Center,
the Humane Society of Southern Arizona
or by an individual.

FOUND! is a non-profit organization that displays color digital photographs, on the Web, of lost animals that have been found and are being sheltered by various institutions and individuals.

People who have lost a pet can come here, at no cost, and view the photos to see where their lost animal may be being sheltered. Click on the above "Search Now!" link to begin a search for a lost pet. Remember that time is of the essence. At most shelters animals that have been held for a specific number of days and are not claimed may be euthanized.

If you are sheltering a found pet please contact us immediately so that we may take a color photograph of the animal and include it on these pages. There is no charge for this service.

FOUND! is supported by contributions, sponsors, and our volunteers who travel each day, seven days a week, to take photos of found pets. If you are interested in helping to support our efforts with a sponsorship, contribution or as a volunteer please contact us at the above address or by e-mail.

Currently FOUND! is operating in Pima County (Tucson), Arizona. We are interested in establishing Found! projects in other areas.

If you would like to be a part of this expansion or would like to set up your own FOUND! operation in your city please click on the link above for more information.

Grimmy, the cartoon dog.

Grimmy has gooood news !

Hi ! I'm Grimmy and I am here to tell you that Attila, Sumo, and I are the official mascots of the FOUND! Web site for lost pets that have been found and are being sheltered. You will see me and all the others, they're "cats" (shudder), throughout the site to help guide you through our pages. We are here courtesy of the nationally syndicated cartoon "Mother Goose and Grimm" by Mike Peters.

Cooperative Organizations

Cooperating with FOUND! in this endeavor is the The Humane Society of Southern Arizona and the Pima Animal Care Center. We are featuring photographs of animals that are being sheltered at these organizations and are waiting for their owners to come and pick them up.

CHECK SIMILAR CATEGORIES !

Please remember that different people may categorize pets differently and although all of us involved, from the animal care officers to our volunteers, try very hard to do our best, we are only human and humans occasionally make mistakes. Unlike our furry friends who, of course, can do no wrong other than wander off on occasion. Because of this, neither the Pima Animal Care Center, the Humane Society, our sponsors, nor FOUND! can accept any liability due to errors or omissions. We urge all pet owners to double check all categories on our Web site, visit the shelters in person, and read all newspaper ads to avoid overlooking any possibilities.

FOUND! IS ON THE MOVE . .

And . . so can your business with a "moving" ad on this Web site.

Please contact us at   info@found-pets.org   for more information on how you can benefit us and your business at the same time. .

BECOME A FOUND! VOLUNTEER

FOUND! needs volunteers who would be able to spend two hours per week helping us photograph found pets at various locations around the Tucson area. You do not need to have photographic experience, only a love of animals and desire to be of help in returning lost pets to their owners. You should have reliable transportation.
