FOUND! Volunteer Positions

Listed below are the FOUND! Volunteer positions with a description of the duties and requirements for these positions. If you would like to help, please click on the link to the Volunteer Application Form at the bottom of this page.   We thank you and the animals thank you!

  A. Shelter Photographer.
Duties; Visit the Pima Animal Control Center at 4000 N. Silverbell Rd., fill out our Photo Register form and, using our digital camera, take photographs of the animals admitted during the day.   Average time, exclusive of travel, is 1.5 hours per day, one day per week.
Requirements; Reliable transportation, telephone, good interpersonal skills, love animals. Prior photographic experience is not a requirement.

B. Shelter Photographer's Assistant.
Duties; Assist the Photographer in performing the duties as outlined above. It is always more fun with two people!
Requirements; Same as for Shelter Photographer.

C. In-HomePhotographer.
Duties; Respond to individuals who contact Found! and are sheltering a found pet. You will meet them at their home ,or nearby, to photograph and scan the animal for a possible microchip. Time required, varies depending on calls.
Requirements; Reliable transportation, telephone, good interpersonal skills, love animals. Prior photographic experience is not a requirement.

C. Web Site Specialist. Duties; Add, edit and delete digital photographs and text to our FOUND! Web Site and our database. Average time is approximately 1/2 hour per day, one day per week.
Requirements; Telephone, high speed access to an Internet connection, light Internet experience, light Word Processor experience (If you can do "cut & paste" you qualify), love animals. Prior Web site maintenance or database experience is not a requirement.

E. Web Site Proofviewer. (as in proofreader)
Duties; Review the updates made to our Web pages for accuracy and visual appearance. Average time is approximately 1/2 hour per day, one day per week.
Requirements; Telephone, high speed access to an Internet connection, love animals.
